This Privacy Policy describes how Vytal Research ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit vytalresearch.com, create an account, or place an order.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
Order information: shipping name, address, phone number (optional), and the products, quantities, and payment method you select. We do not collect or store your Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle account credentials or payment card numbers — payment is sent directly to us through those third-party apps, outside this site.
Technical information: a session cookie used to keep you logged in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: create and manage your account; process, fulfill, and communicate with you about orders; calculate and track any rewards-points balance; respond to support requests; and maintain the security of this site.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate this site: our email delivery provider (for order confirmations, password resets, and account emails), and our hosting and database providers. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in to your account. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal and tax obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You can review and update your account information by logging in, or request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing orders@vytalresearch.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, though some information (such as order records) may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes even after an account is deleted.
7. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18. See our Compliance & RUO Policy for our age-eligibility requirements.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
